Congratulations to my former University of Michigan colleague Ted Bergstrom on being named an AEA distinguished fellow. I think you will find the description of his work linked above very interesting. His theoretical work is exactly in the area of public goods, public choice and altruism that I think lies at the heart of many key public policy questions.
